Hampshire Dance is working in partnership with Hat Fair to commission a new, short outdoor dance work for rural audiences in 2013.
We are excited to announce that the chosen company is Hampshire-based Joli Vyann.
The commissioned work H2H will be an exciting fusion of dance and circus, exploring the fragility of human relationships through hand to hand contact.
Joli Vyann are a fairly new company led by Olivia Quayle and Jan Patzke, who bring their considerable experience as performers into a new fusion of dance and circus.
Joli Vyann said,
"We are thrilled to have been awarded the Hampshire Dance rural tour commission and to have the opportunity to bring our creative vision to rural areas. It's such a unique opportunity for us as a young and emerging company and we can't wait to get started! Thanks for your support Hampshire Dance! "
The work will be performed throughout the summer, including at this year's Hat Fair. If you are interested in booking a performance of H2H (which will have supporting education work) then please contact us as soon as possible.
The rural tour commission is
supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
