About Dance Caper-Bility
Dance Caper-Bility is Hampshire Dance’s highly acclaimed accredited training course for people interested in dance with disabled people. It is designed for participants with a wide range of experience and ability.
The course offers a unique journey into dance and disability through practical and theory based sessions, with structured time for personal and group reflection. Artists and practitioners from leading organisations working in this field, such as Stopgap Dance Company and Salamanda Tandem will deliver the sessions.
The course is accredited by The University of Winchester for participants opting for assessment. Participants in the last course said: ‘I feel empowered to use my ideas to help others to enrich their experience through dance.’ ‘The course has allowed me to develop my intention in dance and think about what I say as an artist, not just about what I dance or teach.’ The next course is due in Spring 2009. However, this is currently under review. |
