What We Do - DASH

Hampshire Dance supports dance in schools by offering teachers opportunities to develop their skills and by helping them to bring dancers and dance companies into schools.
We also offer young people the chance to dance outside of school through our youth dance programme

Hampshire Dance supports teachers from Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton schools through the DASH consortium (Dance Association for Schools in Hampshire).

Regular DASH meetings provide an opportunity for teachers to network and share good practice. We offer INSET (In service training) at least once a term and schools affiliated to DASH can attend a reduced price.

The association was developed in partnership with HIAS – Hampshire Inspection & Advisory Service. At present DASH is focussed on secondary schools, but Hampshire Dance also supports dance in primary, tertiary and special education.
