This conference was commissioned by the Joint Investment Fund for the Arts in the SHIPS region (Southampton, Hampshire, Isle of Wight & Portsmouth Local Authorities),

It was organised on their behalf by Hampshire Dance and The Point

With contributions from Arts Council England South East, Youth Dance England, The Place, South East Dance, Laban, Creative Partnerships, The University of Winchester, DASH & local authority members of the JIF Dance group

A unique one-day event to communicate, share and debate current and future issues in dance for young people

Moving Forward was devoted to advancing youth dance and dance provision in the region into the future. It was an opportunity to explore issues, shape solutions, celebrate good practice and build new partnerships.
