Including a handbook published by Youth Dance England and Foundation for Community Dance

The training course aims to give you the skills to take advantage of a range of funding opportunities by developing effective funding applications.  It will be delivered by Hannah Osmond, an experienced freelance arts manager and fundraiser.
The day will focus on:

  • Getting to know your project
  • Writing a fundraising application
  • Understanding funders

About DASH

Dance Up has supported secondary dance teachers from Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton schools in partnership with DASH (Dance Association for Schools in Hampshire). The association has now decided to disband and we are looking at new ways to develop online networking opportunities supported by an annual conference.

At Dance Up we are constantly adding to our database of named dance contacts for schools, so if you think we might not have your current details please contact us.

Dance Training and Accreditation Partnership

Dance Training & Accreditation Partnership (DTAP) is a major, dance sector-led strategic initiative, and brings together a consortium of national organisations. You can find out more by visiting the DTAP website:

DTAP has recently developed a new qualification, The Diploma in Dance Teaching and Learning (Children and Young People). The new qualification has successfully gained accreditation from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and is now available to the dance sector through the international examinations board Trinity College London.
