NoCo is Hampshire Dance's newest youth dance company.working in the styles of street and hip-hop.

Now in its fourth year,  NoCo works towards performance opportunities and has already established a good reputation as an exciting young company. The rehearsal director Vikkie Steege leads the group, teaching regular classes and choreographing with the help of the company.  

Each year the company work with one or two professional guest choreographers during the half - terms. This year NoCo has worked with Jake Nwogu to create entitled “The Return of the Terracotta Soldiers”. They also worked with Vikkie Steege to create "Rhythmic Rhapsody" which they are performing at this year's National Youth Dance Festival. For more about that see http://tinyurl.com/4gh4j6

The company is based in Basingstoke and currently meets on Wednesdays from 6pm - 8pm.

The company is open to young people between 13-21 years who live in Hampshire. The dancers are chosen from auditions, which take place each year at the end of June. We look for committed dancers with some experience and bags of enthusiasm for creating and performing dance.

The next auditions will be in July 2009.
